(Minneapolis, MN) August 27, 2009 – Michelle Nichols, RPA, LEED® AP, Senior Manager with Colliers Turley Martin Tucker (Colliers) Minneapolis/St. Paul’s Real Estate Management Services division, has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute.  Designations were awarded August 26th during the Institute meetings in Chicago, IL.

The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience.  CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation and investment analysis.  Certified members benefit from a business network encompassing 19,000 members in 61 chapters throughout North America, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean.  Of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners in North America, 8,000 currently hold the CCIM designation.

Nichols, who joined Colliers in 2007, has management responsibilities for a diversified portfolio of office, retail, and industrial properties located primarily within the Warehouse and Central Business Districts of Minneapolis, including Colonial Warehouse.  She is a member of BOMA, where she serves on the Program and Education committee, U.S. Green Building Council’s Mississippi Headwaters Chapter, and Warehouse District Business Association.

Nichols holds the RPA (Real Property Administrator) designation from BOMI International and LEED® AP (LEED® Accredited Professional) designation through the U.S. Green Building Council.  She was the first LEED AP designee for Colliers in Minneapolis.
