The Heart to Hear Project is a community service project initiated and managed by Colliers FM, the Facility Management services division of PT Colliers International Indonesia.

The idea is simple, we have committed to recruiting hearing-impaired fresh graduates from high school. As part of the six month program they will be trained with basic working skills, good values and characteristics. On completion we aim to offer our trainees to other companies for recruitment for long term employment in their companies. 

Who do we recruit?

We recruit fresh graduates of SLB (Sekolah Luar Biasa - B), the special school for the hearing-impaired. currently we have established a working relationship with SLB Santi Rama, Jl. RS Fatmawati, Cipete Selatan, South Jakarta. SLB Santi Rama is owned and managed by Yayasan Santi Rama, a non- profit organization established by a number of ladies who are the wives of high ranking officials and military back in the sixties.

Chrysalis
Chrysalis is the name we use to identify our new special trainees, it means cocoon, something that is about to grow into a beautiful butterfly.

More About the Project

The project is six months for each group of trainees. Within six months we aim to develop good candidates for the workforce. Our project is ongoing, and we plan to continue recruiting new trainees every six months and continue to provide access for the hearing-impaired to the employment market.

During their time with Colliers FM, chrysalises trainees will be trained in data entry, working with web-based Faility Management platfroms, basic skills using Microsoft Word and Excel.

As part of the program, chrysalises trainees will also be given a salary of IDR 1,000,000 per month for six months, income taxed paid by PT Colliers International Indonesia. All expenses of this program is 50% financed by PT Colliers International Indonesia abd 50% by the staff of Colliers FM.
