Columbus, OH
After years of neglect and decreasing occupancy, Worthington Mall is under new ownership as of December 23, 2008. Plans, led by local leasing and management firm Colliers Turley Martin Tucker and Chicago-based asset manager Jupiter Realty Company are under way to stabilize the property. Paul Krimm, CSM, and Kevin James, CLS, CCIM of CTMT serve as management and leasing agents respectively. Jerry Ong of Jupiter is the asset manager.
The team is supported by on-site personnel who are working diligently to identify and address problems. Internal issues related to the property transition and deferred maintenance are among the first items of business. Further focus is being placed on improving interaction with tenants so as to maintain occupancy.
The team is cognizant of the community’s and tenant’s interest in revitalizing Worthington Mall, and the goal is to return the Mall to a prominent center of the Worthington community. Utilizing Jerry’s deal-making experience, retail redevelopment prowess, and CTMT’s capabilities are a step towards rejuvenating and repositioning the asset.
